API development and integrations
I build REST and WebSocket APIs and the integrations around them. Node.js and TypeScript mostly, FastAPI or Django when the codebase is Python. I've wired up Spotify, Apple Music, DistroKid, healthcare systems, and state and federal government platforms.
Work I've done
- At Cashear: Spotify, Apple Music, and DistroKid integrations, automated email handling for artist signups, and the API behind earnings reports with projections.
- At Shibiko AI: REST and WebSocket APIs for real time inference.
- At Modernizee: the storage and API boundaries that keep system generated decks separate from user uploads.
- At Conversant Media: dashboards on Greenplum and Postgres for analytics and ad revenue. A proof of concept I built there turned into a product worth $10 million a year.
- At SuprTEK: US Air Force planning apps in Node and C#.
How I work
Schema first, then tests against the schema, then code. Every outside API sits behind one module, so a vendor API change stays contained to one module.

Things people ask me
- Can you integrate with an API that has bad documentation?
- I've integrated music distributors, payment providers, healthcare systems, and government platforms. When the docs are thin I write tests against the real thing until I know the contract.
- Do you handle auth, rate limiting, and webhooks?
- Those are where integrations break, so I build them first.
